The Sky Tonight Astronomy Talk: Magnetic Fields in the Cosmos
A presentation by the Fleet’s resident astronomer, Dr. Lisa Will. The Earth is not the only celestial object with a magnetic field. Magnetic fields can be found on some other planets and moons. Our sun has a magnetic field, which leads to a phenomenon known as space weather. The strongest magnetic fields in the universe are found in the remnants of dead stars.
This will be a zoom webinar presentation, which will allow for audience engagement through Q&A.
The link to the zoom session will be shared with all registered participants. Spots are limited!
