SpaceTalking with an Astronaut brings you an interactive presentation from Astronaut Greg Johnson, hosted by Adam Gendle on ‘Unlocking the Secrets of the Universe’

Greg’s last Space Shuttle mission involved the deployment of the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer which has analysed cosmic rays and antimatter positrons. This examination of ‘dark matter’ has increased our understanding of our galaxy.

Greg will highlight his last mission and the power of the Spectrometer when he takes us on his journey through test pilot school to becoming a Space Shuttle pilot. His first mission to the International Space Station delivered and installed the Japanese ‘Kibo’ Laboratory as well as a mini-robot that carries out repairs on the outside of the ISS. Greg has flown almost 13 million miles in space.

This event is in partnership with Pint of Science.
